We, Logitech Europe S.A., provide to residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland this Privacy Notice, which contains additional information for such residents to supplement the Logitech Website Privacy Statement and the Logitech Products Privacy Notice.
Legal bases for processing
We process your personal data on several different legal bases, as follows:
- Based on necessity to perform contracts with you - we need to process your personal data to activate and register products, ensure products and services you use are working as they should, maintain and improve products, answer to questions and requests from you, and provide customer support.
- Based on legitimate interests - we process product usage data from you to conceive new products and services with improved functionality, security and safety; to detect and prevent fraud; to protect and defend the rights or property of other customers or third parties, or our own rights and interests; we consider your privacy interests in this regard and redact personal information to the largest extent practicable to avoid affecting your privacy rights.
- Based on compliance with legal obligations - we may need to process your personal data to comply with relevant laws, regulatory requirements and to respond to lawful requests, court orders, and legal process;

You also have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and a right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you have a right to withdraw consent at any time. Our Sites and Our Products as described in Logitech Privacy Statements are voluntary.
Processing and Storage of Personal Data
We and our affiliates and service providers process and store your personal data on servers in the United States, which has not received an unqualified adequacy decision. To show that Logitech provides adequate data protection standards, Logitech was certified under safe harbor programs. But because data protection authorities no longer accepts safe harbor registrations as indication of adequate protection, Logitech’s participation in the programs has ended. Logitech continues to provide adequate protection for data by having entered into data processing agreements and data transfer agreements that include standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Such data processing agreements are available upon request.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data as long as you use the Sites or Our Products or if we are legally required to by legal/compliance purposes. Personal data that is no longer required to be retained will be deleted on at regular intervals each year.
Effective Date and Changes
This Privacy Notice is effective May 25, 2018. We may make changes, including material changes, to the Privacy Notice, from time to time. You should review the Privacy Notice each time you visit our Sites, purchase a Logitech product or use new features of our products to learn of any changes.
